The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) is an international treaty that works to prevent the spread of pests and plant diseases across borders. WCI is proud to hold an IPPC certification, which means that all our wood packaging materials, including crates, pallets, and skids, are treated to meet the IPPC standard. This ensures that our products are safe for international shipping and will not contribute to the spread of plant diseases
Certification
WCI is also certified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to produce and distribute wood packaging materials. This certification confirms that our products comply with CFIA’s strict standards for plant protection, which includes measures to prevent the introduction and spread of pests, diseases, and invasive species.
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is an occupational health and safety (OH&S) certification program that recognizes companies that have implemented a comprehensive health and safety program. At WCI, the safety of our employees and customers is our top priority, and we are proud to have achieved COR certification. This certification demonstrates our commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and ensuring that our customers receive safe and secure products.
WCI is also a member of the Manufacturers’ Health & Safety Association (MHSA), which provides health and safety training and consulting services to the manufacturing industry. As a member of MHSA, we have access to a wide range of resources and training programs that enable us to continuously improve our health and safety practices.
In addition to the above certifications, we are also committed to ongoing training and education to ensure that we meet or exceed industry standards in all areas of our business. At WCI, we believe that certifications are just one way we can demonstrate our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
